blairprovenceI didn't really have a loyalty in the Superbowl, except a sort of affection for Wes Welker, as he's from my home state. That said, I got what everyone who's not a fan of a particular team involved really wants - which is a good game. Gotta say, though, not a lot of memorable commercials. Of course, there wasn't one as appalling as the Snickers commercial last year, either. And after it was over, they really could have gotten to House a little faster, don'tcha think?
HOUSE 4-11
It's interesting that 1 episode after the new ducklings go full time, we have an episode heavy on Wilson, Foreman and Cameron. What was the point again?
PLUSES
Loved House's obsession with Wilson's love life.
Wilson running away from House in the lobby was absolutely priceless.
Mira Sorvino was great, and I say this as someone who has only liked her in Romy and Michelle's High School Reunion.
It was nice to have someone other than Wilson psychoanalyzing House - someone who doesn't think House needs fixing.
The end - OhMyGod, absolutely DYING! And the PREVIEW!!! HEEHEEHEEHEEHEEHEE
CTB!!!!!!! I hope she's not just using Wilson. I mean, she's using him, but I do hope that's not all it is.
MINUSES
Too much Cameron, no Chase. And why is it Foreman still on the team again?
Score was going to be B until that final scene.

TORCHWOOD 2-2
PLUSES
Another excellent guest star (even better than Mira Sorvino). Awesome acting chops, really made you feel for the character.
Again, teamwork. They're a happy hub now. Even though Gwen wasn't on board with the shooting, she had a nice scene with Jack in the office, instead of a rant a la the Fairies. There weren't a lot of good choices.
Lots of Ianto, and it was funny.
Good Ianto/Jack scene up above the interrogation.
Ianto/Gwen scene in the frozen room - so cute.
MINUSES
Ianto might have had one too many quips. I'm not sure which one I would have cut, though. And I think his imitation of electrocution should have been followed with a closeup of his face that gave more depth to his cautionary reasons (as described by the writer of the episode.)
Illogical nuclear weapons scenario. Probably best they didn't go into detail.
Still not on for Tosh/Owen. And we need explication about Owen's new personality, or a few scenes showing a hint of the old one.
